There was one final media we explored in my Life Drawing classes at EMU, other than charcoal, graphite pencils, and magic Koh-i-noor colored pencils - soft pastels.
They're messy like charcoal, but come in a wide variety of vibrant colors. Most of these drawings were assignments for homework - self-portraits, or portraits of people we knew. Here are some of my most successful pastel drawings from these classes (2007-2008).
