Colored Pencil Drawing: Grandma's Pink Lilies

The reason I wanted to share those photos I'd taken of my grandma's garden (see the last three posts) was because I used four of those photos as source material to create a Christmas gift for my grandma this past December. My husband helped me pick out a collage frame that had room for four 4"x6" images, and then I made her four small 4"x6" colored pencil drawings - all of flowers from the her garden.

She absolutely LOVED the gift (as I knew she would)! So today and the next several days, I will show the creation of each of those small drawings.

Today we're looking at "Grandma's Pink Lilies," which was created with Prismacolor colored pencils and Strathmore toned tan paper (as were all four of the drawings).

First, here is the source photo I used:

Here is the step-by-step of how I created the drawing:

These are some detail shots of the final piece:

And here are the photos I posted on Instagram, as I was finishing this collection:

Though this drawing was a gift (and is therefore not for sale), I do have several similar floral colored pencil drawings, 5"x7" size, available through my Etsy shop!
