As I've said on this blog before, I love taking photos of flowers so that I have lots of source photography to work from when making paintings or colored pencil drawings. Instead of using stock images online, I like to use my own photos. Here are some more photographs I took at the Norfolk Botanical Gardens in Virginia, a couple summers ago.
The Botanical Gardens certainly had a lot of flowers. But they also had some nice structures and fountains that I snagged photographs of - and even a cool looking bird!
